Spread the Word Nevada was established with a simple purpose in mind: to provide assistance to those in need.

Laurie Hartig, a former Clark County School District librarian, created this non-profit corporation because she observed firsthand that many of Nevada's citizens need extra assistance, especially in the area of literacy.

Laurie was also aware that many worthwhile programs offering assistance to individuals of all ages and backgrounds struggle due to a lack of resources. Spread the Word Nevada exists to provide resources to help fill the void.

Spread the Word Nevada accepts requests for support and services from Nevada's residents and organizations, with distribution of materials, services and funding pending approval by its experienced Board of Directors.

Its flagship program, Kids to Kids, operates under Spread the Word Nevada. The nonprofit corporation, as a whole, is managed by dedicated and hard-working staff Laurie Hartig, Director of Programs and Lisa Habighorst, Executive Director. The program is governed by an experienced Board of Directors.

Spread the Word Nevada was incorporated on August 23, 2001.
