National Book Month
November
6, 2009 - On Nov. 6, Kumon Math & Reading Centers from
around Las Vegas and Henderson joined forces to donate 1,800
books to Spread the Word Nevada.

The
books were collected by students of the after-school math
and reading program, and donated in honor of National Book
Month.

Pictured

locations: Marsha Meyer (Henderson), Allyson Badoyen (Spring
Valley), Scott Nuha (Green Valley), Sandip Thanki (Henderson-Green
Valley North), Roberta Darrow (Las Vegas, Aliante), Gulnar
Surani (Summerlin), Hiroko Godfrey (Las Vegas, Peccole Ranch)
and Sherry Walker (Spread the Word

Nancy
Patel, a parent of a Kumon Math & Reading Center student,
facilitated a $1,000 donation from her employer, Walmart.
Tish Ackley, a Walmart representative, was on-hand at the
book donation to present Sherry Walker, Director of Development
for Spread the Word Nevada,
with the generous (and generously proportioned) check.
