April
30, 2007 - Kids to Kids
was
recently awarded a generous $25,000 grant from the Nevada
Power Foundation Committee.
Nevada
Power has been a proud sponsor of Spread
the Word Nevada: Kids to Kids since 2001. This
donation has furthered their community partnership and belief
in the dedication to changing children's lives through promoting
literacy.
Doretha Graham Easler, Foundation Administrator and Community
Relations Manager for Nevada Power said, "We are so thrilled
to have been a supporter of Kids
to Kids for the last six years as we champion their
cause to enable at-risk communities to take advantage of their
programs. Each of the programs plays a large impact in helping
to increase literacy skills by placing books into the hands
of at-risk children to further their reading and development."
The
donation from Nevada Power will be used to aid in the funding
of the Kids to Kids programs.
Nevada
Power, an operating subsidiary of Sierra Pacific Resources,
proudly serves more than 750,000 electric customers in Las

to believe in our mission to provide opportunities to these
