Drives During Nevada Reading Week Bring in More Than 28,000
Books for Kids to Kids

22, 2006 - During Nevada Reading Week, Las Vegas schools went
the extra mile by holding book drives around the city to benefit
Kids
to Kids.
In total, more than 28,000 books were donated.
Nevada
Reading Week took place February 27 through March 3. Nevada
Reading Week was created in 1987 by the Nevada State Department
of Education to promote literacy and to encourage reading
among Nevada students.

breakdown of the participating schools and the books donated
is below:
