and Wacky Bed Races

Unprecedented
World Record-Setting Event
The
excitement continues as event participants, including more
than 100 children from local schools, attempt to set a new
Guinness World Record for the "Most People Balancing
Books on Their Heads" in celebration of the millionth
book distributed by Kids to Kids.
Following
guidelines set forth by the officials at Guinness World Records,
a household name and the global leader in world records, record-setters
will form a line and simultaneously balance books on their
heads and walk 16 feet at a pre-determined signal. Officials
and witnesses will document the record-setting feat and a
new world record will be "on the books." Participants
will not only have fun, but they'll also win immortality!
Fun
for Everyone
The
day-long event will benefit Kids
to Kids, and provide a unique opportunity for corporate
and community groups to build relationships within their organizations,
promote literacy in Nevada and have a riot while participating.
The
day will include dignitary judges for the bed race and record-setting
event, bed race awards for fastest bed, best decorated bed,
most entertaining bed and a "People's Choice" award,
storytelling by local celebrities and storybook characters,
arts and crafts, children's games, book giveaways and free
refreshments.
We'll
see you at Providence!
