Kids to Kids Honors Its Dedicated Volunteers With First Annual Appreciation Luncheon

On June 3, 2007, Kids to Kids Board of Directors members and staff served up a delicious Italian lunch at the Mirabelli Community Center for dozens of its dedicated and hardworking volunteers.

Students from C.P. Squires Elementary, one of our adopted schools, were on hand to entertain the crowd with lively dancing and music.

The luncheon was a great chance for children from one of our participating schools to express their appreciation for the hard work of our volunteers.

We love our volunteers! They're a big part of why Kids to Kids is so successful.

Below, left, Kids to Kids President Laurie Porter speaks to those in attendance. Board members and staff made sure guests got a hearty meal complete with delicious desserts. A special treat for those who give so selflessly to those in need in our community.

Of course, no Kids to Kids event would be complete with giving out books to the children who need them the most.

Thanks to everyone who helped make our first volunteer luncheon such a success!
